It is hard to believe Christmas has come and gone for 2007. We all have so many things to be thankful for, and the most important thing I am thankful for is our Savior. Throughout this season, I tried hard to keep Christ in Christmas, and I continued to explain to Carlee Grace and Hayden the reason we were celebrating. It is hard to believe that on that cold, dark, and lonely night our baby Jesus was born to innocent parents that had no clue what was before them, or any idea the pain and suffering their baby boy would endure for the entire world. Wow- I can't imagine what Mary must have felt to see her Son on that cross- it breaks my heart when my kids get a scraped knee or black eye- I sure don't think I could endure the pain and agony of seeing them suffer like that, but THANK GOD HE DID, all for us!!
This week I took off from work to spend some time with Chris and the kids, and it has been the best unproductive week ever. Of course Monday and Tuesday we celebrated with family, but then Wednesday Hayden and I slept in while Chris took Carlee Grace duck hunting with Wesley and Paw Paw. They had a good time, even with Carlee Grace getting stuck in the mud up to her bottom in her waders, to Paw Paw sinking his boat, but not even getting wet. Carlee Grace said getting stuck was her favorite part of the whole trip. Oh, and they even survived CG having to use the bathroom in the waders- another story for another time!!! On Thursday, we all went bowling with coupons we had from a birthday party. We had the best time just all being together, and then I went shopping for a little while, exchanging gifts. Later in the day I spent my Mother's day gift, a mani/pedi at Aqua the Day Spa, and it was lovely. A rare treat that was wonderful- I could get used to that pampering. Carlee Grace spent the night with Nana Thursday night after eating with her, Trey and Julia. We'll see what Friday has in store... Hope everyone is having a great week!!! I'm already dreading going back to work.

Christmas in Canton
Today was our annual "Christmas in Canton" day with Chris' family. I had to work this morning til 12, and then afterwards we met for lunch at Aunt Pam's an Uncle James' house. They had the usual spread of turkey, ham, veggies, and deserts, and the kids played with their cousins til they were worn out. This afternoon we went to the square in Canton to see all the festivities, and the kids rode the carousel (Chris included), and then we all rode the horse and buggy (I had just as much fun as the kids, if not more, as this was my first horse and buggy experience) and the fire truck. Then we went to take pictures in front of the little decorations, which were just beautiful!! The only thing we missed was the animation museum, but after all the other stuff we spent money on, I figured that could probably wait until next year, and I didn't hear any whining from the kids on that decision.... Anyhow, after Canton, I went to Toys R Us, like a nut, and got a few last minute things, then on to Walmart. It's almost Christmas!!!
We had a great day overall, and Hayden only had 1 sugar incident, this morning with Grammy and Paw Paw, but they fixed it pretty quick, too. They are so wonderful with him, and Carlee Grace, too. I am very lucky to have such great in-laws, and a great mom that lives close by to help. What would we do without our families???? Hopefully we will all get to visit lots with family this Christmas season.

Christmas is Here!!
Well, I have finally done it!! I finally decided to step out into the lands unknown and create a blog, because I am so obsessed with everyone else's that I might as well go ahead with my own. Christmas is finally here, and the kids get out of school today. Both Hayden and Carlee Grace have parties at school today, and they were both in the best of moods this morning when I reminded them of what was to come. Hayden has been under the weather all week, with a cold, then bronchitis, and eventually had to get a rocephin shot Wed. He went back to school today, but his teacher called and said he is still not acting right. Hopefully he will be better by Monday night and Tuesday. He is still on his antibiotic. Carlee Grace is trying to fight off a cold, too, but hers is much easier not having to deal with sugars out of control. I know this is such a busy time of year, but hopefully we will all settle down this weekend, and enjoy the season and what it truly means. Have a wonderful weekend, and later I will learn how to put picuters on...
